At Changing Lives Foundation, our journey began with a deep conviction: that every child—regardless of background, ability, ethnicity, or faith—deserves a fair chance at a better future through education. Founded by Kudzai Manjengwa, a qualified social worker originally from Zimbabwe, our foundation was born out of lived experience, compassion, and a desire to bridge the inequality gap faced by children from marginalized communities. Kudzai’s work in both Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom exposed the profound impact education can have in transforming the lives of children who often go unheard, unseen, or unsupported. We are a values-driven, child-centred organization committed to inclusivity, empowerment, and long-term impact. At the heart of our work is the belief that education is a human right, not a privilege. That’s why we focus on creating educational opportunities that are not only accessible but also nurturing, culturally sensitive, and inclusive for every child—especially those living with disabilities, those affected by poverty, or those excluded due to social, ethnic, or religious barriers.

Our Alignment With Global Goals

Our commitment to global change is guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:
  • SDG 4: Quality Education – We champion inclusive, equitable, and lifelong learning opportunities for all children.
  • SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities – We work tirelessly to address systemic barriers and promote social inclusion, leaving no child behind.
Through grassroots initiatives, partnerships, community engagement, and advocacy, Changing Lives Foundation provides not only the tools for education but also the hope, confidence, and dignity that every child needs to thrive. Our organisation aims to bridge the gap between global humanitarian principles and local realities—ensuring that every young person, no matter their background, has the opportunity to thrive. This is more than a foundation. It is a movement to uplift, inspire, and change lives—one child, one classroom, one community at a time.

Our Founder

Changing Lives Foundation was founded by Kudzai Manjengwa, a dedicated social worker whose passion for social justice and community empowerment began in Zimbabwe. She holds an undergraduate degree in Social Work from the University of Zimbabwe, a foundation that shaped her lifelong commitment to uplifting vulnerable individuals and communities. At the age of 24, Kudzai moved to the United Kingdom to further her career in social work. Since then, she has worked as a qualified social worker, advocating for the rights and well-being of children, families, and individuals from diverse backgrounds. Her professional journey has strengthened her understanding of the complex challenges faced by disadvantaged communities and continues to influence her approach to inclusive, compassionate service. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Humanitarian Action and Peacebuilding at Oxford Brookes University. This academic path deepens her understanding of the social, political, and economic factors shaping human development and access to education. It also equips her with tools to design effective programs, advocate for inclusive policies, and implement sustainable solutions that address educational inequality. As the founder of Changing Lives Foundation, Kudzai is committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces where children can thrive through education and mentorship—regardless of their background or faith. Her leadership is rooted in love, equity, and opportunity, guided by the belief that every child deserves the chance to dream, learn, and achieve.
